I wish I had a war cry, but all I have is words

by Nakanée | Art, Poetry

My heart may be on fire
my air choked with smoke
and it feels like spring,
birds chirping when the
world should just go to sleep,
rest
Exposed skin in January
maked easier the cut to bleed
cursed to witness Angels fall
as I watch electric sky seas
and lights on ceilings,
wishing for sweeter dreams,
relief

We will not go quietly
Let loose screams, sing
My heart’s on fire
the fire’s in me.

Blaze                                    Burst                                              Bloom
